North Kansas City Hospital

North Kansas City Hospital continues its strong community service philosophy with its On-Site Academy. Begun in 2002, the program provides opportunities for learning-disabled students to receive career training. Averaging 11 students each year, the program offers experience and training in childcare, office operations and clinical departments. Since 2004, the On-Site Academy has logged 27,948 volunteer hours. Equally important, 16 former students have been hired by the hospital due to their participation in the program.
